Vitalik Buterin of Ethereum believes Twitter’s headquarters should be relocated to Switzerland

Today, after six months of negotiations and legal hurdles, Elon Musk officially assumed control of Twitter. The event was a huge milestone, not only for the social media platform but also for the whole business community. This special moment has attracted commentary from all aspects of the company, including the cryptocurrency sector.

Since the acquisition, the social media site has announced many significant platform changes, including a blockchain feature for non-fungible tokens called NFT Tweet Tiles.

Musk also announced the development of a “content moderation committee” comprised of persons with different perspectives. This council will be in charge of all content-related judgments, account bans, account reinstatements, etc.

Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin posted his opinions on the next steps for the company’s senior management only hours after the world’s richest man legally gained control of the social media site.

Vitalik Buterin responded to a fellow user’s perspective on the company’s headquarters by stating that he has always believed Twitter should be located in Switzerland. His followers lost little time in guessing the motivation for this tweet, with some pointing to Switzerland’s liberal taxes and others to its political neutrality as possible explanations. Other Twitter users responded with their own suggestions for the company’s headquarters, including Singapore, Canada, etc.

Twitter users have suggested that Dogecoin may become the official currency of the social media network. A recent trend on social media encourages Musk to replace the company’s bird symbol with the DOGE dog.

In the previous twenty-four hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap, the price of DOGE has increased by about 12 percent due to the rumours around Musk’s acquisition.
