Bitcoin has a greater potential than Ethereum, says Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter and the co-founder, president, and CEO of Block (previously known as Square), explained why he feels Bitcoin will succeed more than Ethereum in a recent interview.

During an interview with Michael J. Saylor, co-founder, president and CEO of Nasdaq-listed business intelligence firm MicroStrategy Inc, Dorsey spoke about the above. The two spoke during the “Bitcoin for Corporation” event, which took place on February 1 and 2, 2022.

“It’s deliberate and predictable. Bitcoin gets a lot of blows, especially in the mainstream media, Dorsey began.

“Ethereum is growing very, very quickly compared to [BTC], but the question remains as to what the end effect of these moves will be,” he added.

According to him, the Bitcoin ecosystem is “very careful” about developing the cryptocurrency. Slower things tend to endure longer and go in a more predictable direction, which is why this mindset slows down the development process. They are a lot more secure. In the eyes of the Twitter creator, this ultimately reinforces the utility of bitcoin “more than anything else.”

The practicality of bitcoin is something that makes it a potential currency on the internet for me. As a business owner, as someone running a company that supports the adoption of BTC, I am so sure that this currency will remain in use for decades to come and serve billions of people, he said.
