A hacker discovered a critical vulnerability within ChainSwap’s smart contracts and took out approximately $8 million from the cross-chain decentralized financial platform ChainSwap.
The project has urged its users not to purchase its native token while it was investigating the incident.
It claims that individual wallet funds are secure, but send- and withdrawal functions are still not available.

- Umbrella Network’s (UMB) announced that it would buy back $230,000 worth Native Tokens. It’s up the community to decide how to spend them.
- The project claims that it will no more rely upon ChainSwap token bridging.
- The hack caused volatility in the price action. According to CoinGecko data Wilder World (WILD), one among the affected tokens, fell 99.8 percentage before recovering.
