This trend coincides with the decline in the value of the leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, which has fallen below the $26,000 mark.
Recent data provided by Whale Alert, a platform dedicated to monitoring large-scale cryptocurrency transactions, indicates that high-net-worth traders have promptly relocated more than $730 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP. The majority of these transactions involve prominent cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken.
Among the BTC transactions tracked by Whale Alert, valued at approximately $458 million, notable transfers include:
- 2,881 BTC, equivalent to $76,006,587, transferred from an unidentified wallet to Coinbase.
- 799 BTC, valued at $20,799,168, moved from an unidentified wallet to Binance.
- 2,898 BTC, totaling $75,364,882, transferred from an unidentified wallet to Coinbase.
- A transfer of 4,000 BTC, worth $104,004,357, from an unidentified wallet to another undisclosed wallet.
- A second transfer of 4,000 BTC, amounting to $104,057,443, sent from an unidentified wallet to Bitfinex.
- A movement of 1,500 BTC, valued at $39,022,239, from Bitfinex to Kraken.
- A transfer of 1,499 BTC, worth $39,049,631, from Kraken to an unidentified wallet.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $25,851, representing a 4.8% decrease in value over the past 24 hours.
Turning to XRP, the digital asset associated with Ripple Labs’ payment platform, Whale Alert has identified approximately $240 million worth of transactions. Noteworthy XRP transfers recorded by this blockchain tracking tool include:
- A transfer of 29,600,000 XRP, valued at $15,135,963, from an unidentified wallet to Bitstamp.
- A movement of 19,920,318 XRP, amounting to $10,167,904 USD, from an unidentified wallet to Binance.
- A substantial transfer of 424,354,912 XRP, worth $214,293,666, from an unidentified wallet to another undisclosed wallet.
As of the current moment, XRP is trading at $0.50, marking a 2.89% decrease in value over the past day.
Lastly, Whale Alert has also observed a substantial transfer involving Ethereum (ETH), where an ETH whale moved 21,240 ETH, valued at $34,965,976 USD, from an unidentified wallet to Coinbase.
Ethereum is currently trading at $1,631, reflecting a 3% decline in value over the course of the day.
