Argentina’s parliamentarian member has requested information from the government regarding the crypto mining market. He is curious about the environmental impact of mining digital currencies.
- The Radical Citizens Union member Martin Berhongaray queried the government about bitcoin mining.
- Solicitor General’s Office must respond to his inquiries as well as the Ministries of Finance and Security.
- Berhongaray sought information on the economic and environmental effects of digital currency mining.
Berhongare is also interested in knowing whether research has been conducted about the importance of crypto mining and whether implementation or how it has responded to financial, tax, and security issues.
Meanwhile, La Nacion reported that Bitfarms, a mining company, had decided to expand operations in the country. Initially, 55,000 platforms for mining will be launched in Argentina Patagonia.
But, these investments and activities won’t stop short. Gabriel Brodski (predial CEO) was quoted in the media. The average age for people who are interested in crypto-realty trades is 40 in Argentina. He stated that both buyers and sellers prefer USD-linked stablecoins over bitcoin.
