FBI warns of Human trafficking, crypto scam

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a warning to all people against social media high-paid foreign jobs.

Recently the FBI Agency published a report and noted that huge numbers of bad actors are attracting Asian unemployed people with the help of fake high paid jobs in foreign countries.

Upon arrival in the Foreign country, however, victims have their passports taken and are forced to work by scamming innocent people. Furthermore, if workers were unsuccessful, they would reportedly face torture, abuse, murder, or be sold to another gang.

The FBI agency noted that these high-level criminal groups force innocent people to process illegal activities like cyber fraud, running a Ponzi crypto investment plan, etc.

“Often throughout the process, the location for the position is shifted from the advertised location…(..)…coerce them to commit cryptocurrency investment schemes, such as confiscation of passports and travel documents, the threat of violence, and use of violence,” the FBI stated.

Also, the published report noted that these criminal groups charge a high amount of money for providing expenses (like room rent, food, & travel fees). If any victim fails to do a big crime or collects huge money via illegal activity under the pressure of these groups, then they usually sell the victim to another group.

Earlier in Nov of the last year, the Colombian Government faced huge criticism over the action against the Chinese criminal group, who trafficked almost 100,000 migrant workers for their several illegal activities, including fake crypto ICOs projects.
