Shopify and Crypto.com started working together

Crypto.com has announced it will allow Shopify merchants to use the company’s payment solution, Crypto.com Pay. This integration will allow the company to expand their reach to merchants, and Shopify merchants will have access to a new audience of cryptocurrency users.

Shopify and Crypto.com team up

The Crypto.com payment gateway now allows Shopify merchants to integrate Crypto.com Pay into their online stores.

As the cryptocurrency trading platform stated in an official blog post, the latest move should help the e-commerce company increase its reach by simplifying the process of purchasing cryptocurrencies.

As an incentive to encourage merchants to sign up for Crypto.com’s payment service, the platform is also waiving the 0.5% billing fee for one month after integration. Stores can take advantage of these offers until June 30th. Currently, 20 different tokens will be accepted, including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), cronos (CRO), shiba inu (SHIB), dogecoin (DOGE), and apecoin (APE).

Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, said giving more customers and traders access to cryptocurrency trading is a top priority for the company.

According to Shopify’s head of the blockchain ecosystem, John S. Lee:

Crypto.com has joined the Shopify ecosystem, as a way for merchants to provide their customers with an additional, fast, and convenient way to pay for online orders. As our blockchain ecosystem grows, we’re committed to developing what’s possible in commerce by supporting merchants with alternative payment methods on their storefronts.
