It’s been announced that users of various platforms for the NFT marketplace will soon be able to show listings on Twitter, complete with a button to buy and sell items.
Twitter, a social networking site has announced a collaboration with four exchanges that would allow users to buy, sell, and showcase NFTs directly via tweets.
The NFT Tweet Tiles integration allows users to see an NFT’s artwork in a separate panel inside a tweet and then navigate through to the corresponding item on a marketplace.
The integration is still in development, but it already supports four different markets: Magic Eden, a platform focused on Solana; Rarible, which supports other NFT marketplaces; Dapper Labs, which developed the Flow blockchain; and Jump.trade, which focuses on sports.
Distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) like Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon are all featured in those markets.
As a Twitter spokesman told Decrypt, the capability works with connections from any blockchain as long as the marketplace is a Twitter partner.
The official continued by saying that the NFT Tweet Tile connection is currently being evaluated with chosen Twitter users over iOS and the web.” The premium Twitter service Twitter Blue is not necessary to access this feature.
Until recently, Twitter Blue subscribers could use NFTs as verified profile images, but now only Ethereum NFTs are supported.
