Inter Milan is one of Italy’s top football clubs. Recently, it announced a sponsorship deal for socios.com. Socios.com is a leading fan engagement platform based on blockchain technology.
According to the official announcement, Socios.com has replaced Pirelli as the new partner on Inter Milan’s shirts in the 2021/22 season. Inter Milan will promote the $INTER Fan Token as part of this partnership.
Pirelli, an Italian tyre manufacturer, has sponsored Inter Milan shirts for more than 20 years. Repubblica reports that Inter Milan’s latest Socios.com is the largest in Serie A history.
We are very proud to announce today this partnership, an agreement that connects us with a leading brand in our industry. This agreement confirms the growth and attractiveness of the Inter brand, despite all the challenges facing the club during the pandemic. This t-shirt is of particular importance to us because it is the first of the Scudetto on its chest after so many years of waiting: it’s a new milestone in our journey, and we’re delighted to be celebrating it with Socios.com and all our fans.
Alessandro Antonello (General Manager Inter Milan Corporate) commented on the partnership.
Inter Milan fans will enjoy new experiences through Fan Token
Inter Milan fans will have new experiences with the Fan Token, which allows them to be part of a vibrant Socios.com community. Token holders will have many engagement opportunities, including the opportunity to influence the club through a series of interactive, fun and important polls every season.
The Inter Milan shirt is the perfect space for us to promote the launch of this new partnership and build a mass awareness of the opportunities for innovation and engagement created by the fan token $INTER. This is a unique event. For the first time in more than a quarter of a century, the name on the club front of the shirt will change. We are very proud to take up this privileged space to promote the introduction of a token $INTER.
